Private yoga classes (live online)

Who is private yoga for?

My classes are for you if you’ve done postural yoga for a while, feel increasingly drawn to the spiritual aspect, and want personal support to help you learn more, progress your physical practice and build a meditation practice. I specialise in teaching women over 40. You may be thinking about doing a 200-hour teacher training or you may have done one but it didn’t focus enough on meditation or was too academic.

Why have private yoga classes?

With personal teaching you feel seen, heard and nourished with the support of one teacher who gets to know you and your practice. You feel motivated and accountable. Students often say that if they didn’t have an appointment in the diary with me, they probably wouldn’t switch off from work.

You feel a strong desire to bring more human and spiritual connection into your life. But with everything most of us are dealing with – the post-pandemic effects on our lives, jobs, families and health – it can be hard to find the time and motivation for yoga, nourishing self-care and the things that awaken your heart.

What will you get from private yoga?

A dedicated yoga practice, with the support of the right teacher, gives you tools to support you and reconnect you to yourself, your physical body, mindset, emotions and energy but ultimately to your deepest, inner Self. It can help you feel more more at ease in your mind and body, and more centred.

When you make meditation a regular part of your life, you become more aware of your inner Self, Mother Earth and the Consciousness of which we are all part. This helps you live from a more heart-centred place, kinder and more compassionate to yourself and to others. You can stand firmer when there’s a storm and live more freely, fully and with ease in the world.

Am I the right teacher for you?

I’ve been devoted to my yoga practice since 2000 and been teaching since 2008, mostly the traditional way, one to one. My calling is to pass on the wisdom of yoga the way it’s been handed down through generations and passed to me through my teachers past and present. I know the ongoing challenges of a committed yoga practice and can support you as you go through your own personal journey.

Yoga has helped me to be understand myself more, feel more at ease with who I am (the light and dark) and be kinder to myself – and consequently to others. I share yoga so that it might do the same for you. It’s my small contribution to creating a happier, kinder society based on the feminine qualities of nurturing, feeling, healing, creativity, intuition, wisdom and balance.

What are the classes like?

I blend hatha yoga with elements of classical tantra. I teach a strong, slow, flowing āsana practice with focus on the breath to draw you inward (plus, in offline classes, a playlist of sacred sounds). This is followed by heart-centred meditations (contemplative, visualisation or mantra chanting), to help awaken all the aspects of the divine feminine that you already are.

Classes are booked as a six-class pack. Book a single class as a trial or we can have a free intro call first. I can also create a bespoke programme (min. three months) that could include hatha yoga, restorative and meditation.

“Jacqui is a highly personable, supportive and fun teacher. 75 minutes with her is like a breath of fresh air! She helps you progress at just the right pace and right level of challenge. She’s always supportive of any injuries and very adaptable in responding to individual needs and capabilities. It feels like the best thing I could do for my mind and body. Highly recommended!”

“Jacqui gives an awesome level of information and constructive class plans. I really enjoyed doing the seven-day meditation programme with her. Her voice is great for guiding you through breath and meditation. I enjoyed this programme and felt really good for doing it.”

Clare, Kent
